I'm Staci, and alongside my husband and our family, we started this business out of a deep desire to help families feel safe and supported in their homes. After personally experiencing the health effects of hidden mold, we knew there had to be a better, gentler way to get answers.
Why Mold Pups?
Mold Pups was born from my family’s own experience with hidden mold. After living in homes where we didn’t know what could be hiding behind walls or beneath floors, I came to understand how overwhelming it can be to know something isn’t right but not know where to begin.
That experience led me to Gus and the power of professionally trained detection dogs to identify mold odors without immediately tearing into a home.
Today, Mold Pups helps families investigate what may be hiding in their homes through a process rooted in care, trust, and practical expertise. Our goal is simple: provide information, clear answers, and a path forward you can feel confident in.

Gus
Gus is our professionally trained mold detection dog, certified through the Florida Canine Academy by Bill Whitstine, one of the most respected programs in the country. His work is non-invasive, chemical-free, and remarkably accurate, pinpointing mold that even traditional tests can miss.
He’s calm, thorough, and works room-by-room, giving you clear answers without the chaos of tearing into walls or guessing.
For many families, Gus is the first one to confirm what they’ve been feeling all along.

Karsyn was only with us for 22 hours, but her life changed mine forever.
Losing her shaped the way I see motherhood, health, our homes, and ultimately the work I feel called to do today. My hope is that Karsyn's story can help another mother ask a question sooner, or encourage another family to pay attention to their environment. Her life was short, but her impact doesn't have to be.
That's where Rocky's Silent Morning came from. It's a children's book about curiosity, awareness and trusting your instincts, and it's one of the ways I keep being Karsyn's mom.
